Intro to Spanish I (Curriculum-based)

Coquílingo offers joyful Spanish enrichment to homeschoolers through playful learning, structured practice, games and real-world communication in a Spanish Classroom. With small groups and personalized attention, students gain confidence speaking Spanish from day one. Classes are led by a native speaker born in Puerto Rico, who homeschools her school aged children and created Coquilingo Homeschool Spanish Class with her children, homeschoolers and the community in mind.
Why the name Coquílingo? El Coquí is a miniature tree-frog known as the beloved symbol of Puerto Rican culture.
Spanish is the second most spoken language in the US and the fourth most spoken in the world! Being bilingual gives students a competitive advantage in school admissions, the workforce, global travel and communication. Most colleges require or strongly prefer foreign language credits especially for homeschool transcripts. Learning a language should be fun and interactive, Coquílingo offers this together with a love for Spanish!
Our classes are designed to grow with each child. A complete 2-Year Spanish I course will be available September 2026. Email info@coquilingo.com for more about this exciting course!

Three plus years ago, I knew I wanted my children to grow up with Spanish as part of their learning. I began weaving Spanish into our homeschool rhythm, and I found that they learned best when they could practice together in a joyful group setting. I asked my homeschool community of moms if I could teach their children along with mine, and they said yes! I will never forget that trust and it continues to inspire every class I teach.

Amanda P.
(Highlands Family Success Center)

I wholeheartedly recommend Daleska for any opportunity involving youth education and language instruction. She has served as a volunteer Youth Spanish teacher at Highlands Family Success Center starting March 2023 and has demonstrated exceptional dedication, skill, and passion for teaching. Daleska brought positive energy and creativity to every lesson, making Spanish accessible and engaging for students of all levels. She designed interactive activities, incorporated cultural elements, and fostered a supportive classroom environment that encouraged participation and curiosity. The students consistently responded with enthusiasm and showed measurable improvement in their language skills. Beyond her teaching abilities, Daleska was reliable, timely and consistently communicated with HFSC staff as needed.

We have taken multiple Spanish classes and been so happy with the patient, fun environment created by Señora Daleska
Stephanie B. (Homeschool Mom)

I highly recommend Ms. Daleska Bravo as a Spanish instructor. All three of my children had the privilege of attending her Spanish class for two years, and the experience was truly outstanding. Ms. Bravo has a gift for making learning both enjoyable and interactive, while also maintaining a strong sense of academic integrity. My children were consistently excited to attend her classes, which speaks volumes about the engaging and supportive environment she creates. What impressed me most was her ability to effectively manage and teach multiple age groups within a single class. Despite the range of ages and learning levels, she connected with each student, meeting their individual needs and ensuring that they all thrived. This skill not only demonstrates her versatility as an educator but also her genuine dedication to her students' growth. I am deeply grateful for the positive impact Ms. Bravo has had on my children's language learning and overall educational experience. I am confident that she will bring the same enthusiasm, expertise, and commitment to any teaching opportunity she pursues.
